Mod Squad Challenge - Mother's Day

Today is my day to host the Mod Squad Challenge along with Lisa Babitz.  We have 2 lovely sponsors, Kat Scrappiness and Sparkle n Sprinkle,  along with 2 great prizes.  So you will want to enter.  You may enter as many as 3 times.

Our theme this week is Mother's Day.  I have a confession to make about Mother's Day.  I used to hate to go to church on Mother's Day because the preacher would get up and talk about this perfect, super- human Mother.  I didn't know any Mothers like that especially me.  All the mothers I knew had flaws, like everyone else.  Then I realized, we don't have to be perfect (no one is), we just have to love our children and do the best we can.  My kids turned out to be great adults, not because I was perfect but because God kept his hand on them.

Now on to my card for the challenge.
Card Supplies:
5X7 card base
Image - Daisies Digital Stamp Set from Sparkle n Sprinkle
I printed the image in the middle of a piece of white cardstock, then used an Anna Griffin Ornamental Frame Die to cut it out.
Image colored with Promarkers
Tiny beads added to center of flowers
Sentiment - foiled in mint green foil

I would love to give this card to my Mother but she is no longer with us.  She would have been 100 this year had she lived.  Happy Mother's Day, Mom.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I do hope to see your creations in our Mod Squad Challenge.

God Bless You!!!  Peggy

Kraft Birthday Card

This card features something I have never tried before, coloring on Kraft paper.  I think it actually turned out quite nice.

I designed the card in Cricut Design Space.  The flowers and the sentiment are actual files from the new Anna Griffin cartridge Elegant Embellishments 2.  This cartridge is one of the autoships from HSN.  I don't know when it will be released.  The flowers were drawn by the Explore plus the Happy Birthday.  I then colored it with Prismacolor colored pencils.  I added Yellow Viva Pearl Pen to the center.

Thank you for visiting with me today.  There are other cartridges in Design Space that have images that you can draw with the Explore and color.  I hope you will try it.

God Bless You!!! Peggy

Aurora Prayer - The East Wind

I saw this digital image on Facebook the other day when a lady posted that she was making a prayer journal and used it on her journal.  I fell in love with it then and knew I had to use her on a card.
Card Supplies:
5X7 card base
Background paper - AG Georgette Collection
Die Cut - AG Ornamental Frame Die - foil paper for the frame
Image colored by Promarkers
Heart Doily
Flowers from my stash
Sentiment stamp by Close To My Heart

After coloring the image I scanned it, uploaded it into Design Space and saved it as a print then cut file, so I can use it when I need this type of card again.  I don't get paid for saying this but I love so many features of design space.

Thank you for visiting with me.  I hope you will give some thought to using some digital images on your cards.  It is relaxing to color them.

God Bless You!!!! Peggy

    Bow Card

Let me just say I'm loving the Anna Griffin paper I told you about yesterday and the bows from Michael's.  Today's card is another easy one but very pretty, if I do say so myself.

    Card Supplies
5X7 card base from the AG Georgette Collection paper pack
Die cut - AG Cuttlebug Flourish Emblem
    Bows from Michaels

Donna has gone to a convention in Florida and she left her 4.4 lb Yorkie with me.  Her name is Buttons but  it should be Sassy.  The morning and afternoon went fine until after I fed her and Max their dinner.  I came back out to my craft room to take pictures of my featured card today.  I had to move some stuff in order to do that. One of the cards I had made for one of my design teams fell on the floor.  I didn't see it fall but Buttons did.  While I was editing my pictures I noticed she and Max were awfully quiet (they're just like children).  I got up and headed to the living room and here she goes running across the room with my card.  When I finally got it away from her, she had chewed the corner off of it.  I could have cried.  This card I had painstakingly glued little beads to the center of the flowers.  Like I said it was for one of my design teams.  Waaaaaaa.  Does anyone want a little dog to keep until Wednesday?

Thanks for visiting with me today and listening to my tale of woe.

    God Bless You!!! Peggy

    Rose Card

I have had 2 pads of Anna Griffin "Georgette Collection" paper for years.  The reason I have 2 pads is because I thought it was so pretty I bought 2.  And instead of using it, I held on to it.  Isn't that ridiculous?  I'm beginning to realize my faults in my purchases for my crafting.  Like I've said before, "I need a 12X12 step program." Anyone else need help?

This is the card I made today using some of this paper.

    Card Supplies:
Card Base is a file from AG Lace Cards and Embellishments
Paper - Anna Griffin " Georgette Collection"
Flowers - Anna Griffin Embellishments to Decoupage
Bow - Paper bows from Michael's

Thank you for visiting with me today.  Tell me about your crafting purchases.  Are you anything like me?

    Christmas Card Week #15

This is my card for week #15 at the FaceBook Group, Only Christmas Cards/Projects.   I had an idea for this card but it didn't work out.  I colored a darling little digi, then when I got to putting my card together, it just didn't go with it.  So I put it aside until another day.

This card is made entirely from an older paper stack I have from Hobby Lobby.  It's called Christmas Traditions by Paper Studio.
The card base is a side step card file created by Narelle Darley for Cricut Design Studio.  The Christmas tree is cut using an Anna Griffin Die Cut.  The presents were hand cut from one of the pages.  Although I never like to use Season's Greetings for a Christmas wish, I thought the paper fit nicely for the sentiment.

Thank you for visiting with me today.  I love reading your comments.

    God Bless You!!!  Peggy

    Cascade Card by Dreaming Tree

Dreaming Tree has produced another beautiful svg.  It is a Cascade Card file.  There are 3 separate cards, each equally beautiful.  Right now you can get the file free with a purchase of $9.98.  You can also purchase just the Cascade Card svg's for 5.99.  I played around with the Lily Cascade Card and this is what I came up with.
I made a totally white one, too but apparently didn't take a picture of it.  This card is super easy to make but shows elegance and beauty.  The hardest part is choosing your papers.  One thing to remember, double sided paper does not work for the card base.

Thank you for your visits and comments.

    God Bless You!!!  Peggy
