Mod Squad Challenge-Sparkle It Up

We began a new  Mod Squad Challenge today. Snowmen Easel Card

I got an email from My Scrap Chicks.  It had this adorable card made from one of their svg files.  It was so cute I bought the file and made this card.  The hardest part of the whole process was choosing what paper to use.  That always takes me longer than anything.  Anyone else like that?

I uploaded the svg into Cricut Design Space and cut it out.  The sentiment doesn't come with the card so I had to insert the text for my Explore to write it.  I shaded the snowmen with chalk and added some to the cheeks.  I think this little card would bring cheer to whoever receives it.

Oh my goodness.  This time change is messing with me.  It is only 6:00pm and it is dark.  Makes me want to go to bed.  Heard a really good sermon on Heaven this morning at church.  That always makes the afternoon go better

Simple but Elegant Christmas Card

I recently received my auto-ship Anna Griffin Beribboned dies.  I must say they are beautiful.  I have been busy with other things so didn't get to use them until last week.  They make some beautiful backgrounds.  This is one of them.

5X7 card base.  I used shimmer paper behind the frame.

I think this turned out beautifully.

Mod Squad Challenge-Halloween Fun

We began a new  Mod Squad Challenge this week. Little Note Card

Today I want to share with you a Make It Now project from Design Space.  In DS it is called Watercolor Floral Wedding Thank You Card.  I changed it a little bit and made it a birthday card.
This file prints a watercolor flower picture but I felt it was too light for the card so I printed another flower group from the AG Vintage Florals digital cartridge.  Also, I changed the salutation from Thank you to Happy Birthday.  

Have you tried the Make It Now projects.  There are so many fun things to make.

DS4J Mid-month October Challenge

It's mid-month posting for the DS4J October Challenge.  Our theme this month is "Make Your Own Background".  Now you might be thinking, "I'm not good at making backgrounds".  Making a background doesn't have to be hard.  You can use a doily, a die cut or an embossing folder(which is what I did) or any number of things.  Team B has created a lot of pretty inspiration for this phase of the challenge and I hope you will join us.  Be sure to visit here for more inspiration and information.

Jingle Bells Card

I have another card for you today from the AG Christmas Cards 2 cartridge.  You notice the card and the embellishment have the same patterns.  However, I did not cut all the layers for the card.  I chose each layer in Cricut Design Space, changed them from a cut file to a print file.  The file comes into DS grouped with an envelope.  I didn't make the envelope.  I ungrouped the file, then deleted the envelope.  I then highlighted the card and "attached" it together.  This made it a print then cut file.  If I had not attached the layers together, DS would have printed all the layers.

I did cut all the layers for the center bells embellishment and attached it with foam adhesive.


This cartridge has so many pretty cards & embellishments on it.  I think it was worth the investment.  It's on HSN and it comes with a $10 digital credit on Cricut.com.

Beautiful Poinsettias

My card today is another Christmas card.  I love to make Christmas cards.  I'm sure I have enough made for this year and then some. But when I come across beautiful embossing folders and files in a cartridge that compliments the folder, I have to make a card.

I know I have lived more days than I have left and I truly thank Him for these days.  Today, a dear friend of mine lost a granddaughter at the young age of 18.  She and her twin sister were in an accident.  Please pray for this family and be thankful for your life God has given you.

Two More Cards Featuring DS4J Images
